Terms of Use
Effective August 17, 2026
These terms
These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Synvora Skin, based in Saskatchewan, Canada, operating as Synvora. By creating an account, using the Services, or purchasing a subscription, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Synvora.
1. What Synvora is
Synvora helps you understand your skin and find products that suit your skin profile and budget: build a skin profile, capture photographs for automated analysis of visible skin characteristics, track changes over time, receive routine and product recommendations, compare products, use an AI coach, follow links to retailers, and subscribe to Synvora Pro. Features may vary by country, device, plan, and app version.
2. Medical disclaimer — please read
Synvora is not a medical device, healthcare provider, dermatologist, physician, or licensed healthcare professional. The Services are for general skincare, cosmetic, educational, and informational purposes only.
Synvora does not diagnose, treat, cure, prevent, or monitor any disease or medical condition, and is not a substitute for professional medical judgment. Analyses, scores, observations, recommendations, routines, and AI-generated responses are not medical diagnoses or medical advice.
Seek professional medical care if you have:
- a new, unusual, painful, bleeding, or rapidly changing skin lesion;
- a severe rash, swelling, infection, allergic reaction, or persistent irritation;
- a suspected skin cancer or other medical condition;
- a severe reaction to a skincare product;
- a condition or medication that may affect your skin;
- uncertainty about ingredient safety while pregnant, breastfeeding, or trying to conceive; or
- any other medical concern.
If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, contact emergency services.
3. Limitations of our analysis
Results may be affected by lighting, camera quality, resolution, makeup, sunscreen, facial hair, shadows, angle, distance, expression, environment, device type, and individual differences in skin tone, texture, and age.
We do not guarantee that any scan, score, observation, or recommendation is complete, error-free, clinically accurate, or right for you. Results may differ between scans even when your skin has not changed. Treat our outputs as informational guidance, not definitive conclusions.
4. Product and routine recommendations
We recommend products based on your skin profile, observed characteristics, concerns, sensitivities and allergies, budget, and availability. A recommendation does not guarantee a product is safe, effective, or suitable for you — skincare products can cause irritation, allergic reactions, photosensitivity, breakouts, or dryness.
You are responsible for reading labels and ingredient lists, following manufacturer instructions, checking contraindications, patch testing where appropriate, and discontinuing use if you have a reaction. Formulations change without notice; where information in Synvora differs from current packaging, rely on the manufacturer.
5. Age requirement
You must be at least 18 years old to create a Synvora account, and you confirm this when you sign up.
6. Your account
Provide accurate information, keep your credentials confidential, do not allow unauthorized access, and notify us of suspected unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity through your account.
7. Your content
You retain ownership of the photographs, questionnaire responses, product photos, coach messages, and feedback you provide. You grant Synvora a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, process, transmit, and analyze it solely as needed to provide the Services you request, maintain your account, provide support, maintain security, and comply with law.
Providing facial images for a skin analysis does not permit us to use those images to train AI models. If we ever want to, we will ask separately. Only upload photographs of yourself and products you own.
8. Acceptable use
You must not access another person’s account without authorization; upload another person’s photographs without authority; use Synvora to harass, exploit, or harm anyone; attempt unauthorized access to our systems; bypass security, rate-limiting, or subscription controls; introduce malware; scrape or systematically extract our data; reverse engineer the Services except where law permits; use our output to build a competing product; misrepresent Synvora output as professional medical advice; or use Synvora unlawfully.
9. Synvora Pro
Some features require a paid subscription. Before you purchase you will be shown the price, billing period, and material terms. Pricing may vary by country, currency, platform, and promotion, and taxes may apply. Purchases are processed by Apple’s App Store or Google Play and are also subject to those platforms’ terms. We do not receive or store your payment card information.
10. Automatic renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically for successive billing periods unless cancelled before the renewal date. Manage or cancel through your device’s subscription settings — Apple: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions; Google: Play Store → Subscriptions. You can also use Settings → Restore purchases in the app to refresh your entitlement.
Cancelling stops future renewals. It does not automatically refund a billing period already purchased, except where required by law.
11. Free trial
Synvora Pro includes a 3-day free trial for eligible new subscribers. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, it converts automatically to a paid subscription at the price shown when you signed up. Cancel any time during the trial through your device’s subscription settings to avoid being charged.
12. Refunds
Purchases made through the App Store or Google Play are subject to those platforms’ refund procedures. Nothing in these Terms limits any refund, cancellation, or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. Affiliate and retailer links
As an Amazon Associate, Synvora earns from qualifying purchases, and we may participate in other retailers’ affiliate programs. We may receive a commission if you buy through a link in the app, at no additional cost to you.
Commission does not influence our recommendations. Matches are generated from your skin profile and budget. We do not accept payment from brands in exchange for recommending or ranking their products. Purchases from retailers are transactions between you and that retailer.
14. Third-party services
Synvora integrates with and links to services we do not control, each with their own terms and privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.
15. Intellectual property
Synvora and its licensors own all rights in the Services other than your content — software, interfaces, graphics, branding, logos, databases, algorithms, models, written content, and design. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Services for your personal, non-commercial use.
16. Feedback
If you voluntarily provide suggestions, ideas, or beta feedback, we may use it without restriction or compensation. This does not permit us to identify you publicly or disclose your personal information except as described in our Privacy Policy.
17. Beta and experimental features
Beta, preview, or early-access features may contain errors, change substantially, produce inaccurate results, be interrupted, or be removed.
18. Privacy
Our handling of personal information is described in the Synvora Privacy Policy, which forms part of your relationship with us. Because Synvora processes facial images and skincare information, some features require specific consent.
19. Availability and changes
We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, that any product will remain available, that recommendations will remain unchanged, or that your device will remain compatible with future versions. Where a material change affects a paid service, we will provide notice or remedies as required by law.
20. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant that they will be uninterrupted or error-free, will detect every visible skin characteristic, will accurately determine any medical condition, will achieve a specific outcome, will prevent an adverse reaction, or will always contain complete or current third-party product information. Nothing here excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
21. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Synvora and its owners, employees, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Services, including loss of data, loss of profits, or losses arising from reliance on our recommendations. These limitations do not apply where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, including under applicable consumer-protection law, or for fraud or intentional misconduct.
22. Your responsibility
You are responsible for your own decisions about skincare products, routines, and whether to seek medical care.
23. Termination
You may stop using Synvora at any time and delete your account through Settings → Delete account. We may restrict or terminate access for serious or repeated breaches, fraud, security threats, unlawful activity, abuse, legal requirements, or discontinuation of the Service. Deletion of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy.
24. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Saskatchewan and the applicable federal laws of Canada. If mandatory consumer-protection laws where you live give you rights that cannot be waived, those rights continue to apply.
25. Disputes
Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us at hello@synvoraskin.com and we will attempt in good faith to resolve the issue informally. Subject to mandatory rights under applicable law, disputes may be brought before courts having jurisdiction in Saskatchewan, Canada. Nothing here prevents you from complaining to a regulatory, privacy, or consumer-protection authority.
26. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as Synvora changes or legal requirements evolve. For material changes we will provide appropriate notice, which may include an in-app notice or email. The date at the top identifies the current version.
27. General
If any provision is unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. Not enforcing a provision immediately does not waive it. You may not assign your rights without our consent; we may transfer these Terms as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any feature-specific terms form the complete agreement between you and Synvora.
